I’ve been on a journey to rehab my nails after removing hard gel that I’ve had for years. I’ve always had thin nails so when I say they were super thin when I removed the product is an understatement. It was even a challenge washing my hair because my scalp wasn’t getting scrubbed. But I was committed to the journey of finding products that really worked to strengthen my nails. I can now confidently share with others looking for product to help repair their nails. I first used Kerasal Multi-Purpose Nail Repair as directed. And once my nails started getting healthier, I started using Onsen Secret Nail Care Kit which is a Japanese nail buffer and shine kit. My nails have never been this strong. So, that mission is complete. I actually found products that work, and pretty fast! I was impressed with myself. LOL. There’s tons of product on the market so to really find the right ones is like finding a needle in a haystack.

But now I miss having color on my nails. I do regular polish sometimes but as a manicurist it isn’t the best solution since I work wish acetone frequently. It boils down to commitment. To have really pretty, long lasting (I’m going to say it, artificial) nails it’s a commitment to ongoing appointments. Even though I do my nails myself I didn’t always want to do them when I came home after work. Even though it was only once every 3-4 weeks. There’s pros and cons to everything. But I sure do miss my Big Apple Red by OPI.
I’ll keep you posted on my nail decision. In the meantime, if you’re looking to strengthen your natural nails, you now know what to use.
